Three Arrested, Suspected Fugitive Still at Large in Tennessee Murder Investigation
A third individual, Dearrah Sanders, aged 23, was apprehended on Monday on charges of accessory to first-degree murder, allegedly assisting the primary suspect in a multiple homicide case. According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), Sanders will be detained at the Lake County Jail.
Previously, Tanaka Brown and Giovonti Thomas, both 29 years old, were also charged with similar offenses, with Brown additionally facing tampering with evidence accusations. The primary suspect, Austin Robert Drummond, aged 28, remains at large.
Authorities are focusing their investigation on a wooded area near Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, as part of the search for Drummond. This has led to a temporary security measure on campus, restricting entry and exit, although regular activities within campus buildings continue.
The homicide suspect is sought in connection with the deaths of James M. Wilson, Adrianna Williams, Cortney Rose, and Braydon Williams, aged 21, 20, 38, and 15 respectively. Their bodies were discovered on Tuesday in Tiptonville, a town located in Lake County’s northwest region.
The four victims were found dead just hours after the infant daughter of Wilson and Adrianna Williams was discovered abandoned in a car seat in a front yard at an unspecified location near Tigrett, approximately 40 miles southeast of Tiptonville.
