The verified Facebook page for Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield reported casualties and described the event as ongoing. The installation was secured at 11:04 a.m., with law enforcement on the scene.

Fort Stewart, a significant training ground for active and reserve Army units, is home to the 3rd Infantry Division. Located approximately 40 miles southwest of Savannah, it houses over 10,000 residents, including soldiers, their families, and civilian employees.
