Monday’s Powerball Draw Reaches a Historic $750 Million Jackpot – Could You Be the Next Multi-Millionaire?

On Monday, the Powerball jackpot stands at an estimated $750 million, making it the 10th largest in the game’s history. No player managed to match all six numbers drawn on Saturday night, according to a press release from the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL).

Saturday’s draw offered a potential prize of up to $700 million, making it one of Powerball’s largest jackpots ever. Tickets for Monday’s game will be available in 45 states, marking the 37th drawing since the last win on May 31, 2023, in California.

Should a winner emerge on Monday, they will have the option to receive either an annuitized prize of $750 million or a lump sum payment estimated at $338.6 million before taxes, as per MUSL’s announcement. If opting for the annuity option, winners will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments with 5-percent increments each year.

Thus far, Powerball has seen five jackpots surpassing $1 billion, including the game’s largest US lottery prize of $2.04 billion, which was won in Altadena, California on November 7, 2022.

Although no major winner was declared for Saturday’s draw, a lucky player from South Dakota secured a $2 million prize by matching five white balls and using the Power Play option. The release also reported that two other tickets, sold in Maine and New York, earned their holders $1 million each by matching five white balls.

Thirty-one ticket holders won prizes of $50,000, while five tickets won $100,000 prizes during Saturday’s draw. The winning numbers for the drawing were white balls 11, 14, 34, 47, 51, and red Powerball 18. The Power Play multiplier was 2.

Since its inception over three decades ago, the Powerball lottery has generated more than $36 billion for charitable causes supported by US lotteries.
