Missing 7-Month-Old Boy: Southern California Parents Charged with Murder and Filing False Police Report
In a recent development, authorities in Southern California have charged Jake Haro, 32, and his wife Rebecca Haro, 41, with the murder of their seven-month-old son Emmanuel. The Riverside County District Attorney’s office filed charges against the couple on Tuesday, alleging that they were responsible for the child’s death.
In addition to the murder charge, the Haros are also facing a misdemeanor charge of filing a false police report. The couple is scheduled to be arraigned later today, but their legal representation remains undisclosed at this time.
Tragically, Emmanuel has yet to be found and authorities believe he may have passed away.
The arrest of the Haros occurred on Friday, over a week since Rebecca Haro reported an assault outside a store in Yucaipa, San Bernardino County, which left her unconscious. Upon waking, she claimed that her son was missing.
Authorities later questioned the integrity of Rebecca Haro’s account and accused her of refusing to cooperate with the investigation. A subsequent search of their residence in Cabazon, Riverside County, was conducted.
