Massive Russia Attack on Kyiv: At Least Eight Dead, Dozens Wounded as Hundreds of Rescuers Race Against Time
In an overnight attack, Kyiv experienced a significant onslaught from Russian forces, resulting in the death of at least eight individuals, including a child, as revealed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today.
“The number of casualties may still be rising as several individuals might be trapped beneath the debris,” Zelensky stated during a press conference. “Dozens have been wounded.”
In response to this attack, approximately 500 rescue personnel and 1,000 police officers are deployed across various locations within the city. According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, teams of mountaineers, dog handlers, psychologists, engineering equipment, fire trucks, and robotic machinery are being utilized for swift debris clearance, enabling rescuers to work more efficiently.
