The attack on Kyiv is part of a series of assaults across Ukraine this week, with Russian troops increasing their offensive in eastern regions as diplomatic efforts to end the war remain stalled. Tkachenko analyzed the Kremlin’s signature attack style, which involves combined assaults from various directions and targeting residential buildings, often using decoy missiles to confuse Ukrainian defense systems. Multiple high-rise residential buildings, a kindergarten, private homes, non-residential blocks, offices, transport infrastructure, and numerous cars were damaged in the attack. The number of damaged facilities in Kyiv is expected to once again reach hundreds, with thousands of shattered windows and a shopping center in the city center sustaining damage.
