Israeli Airstrike Targets Hamas Political Leadership in Qatar: Qatar Condemns Attack as International Law Violation

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) executed a precision strike on Hamas’ political headquarters in Doha, Qatar, according to military officials. Visible from Doha, a vast plume of gray smoke billowed over the location of the targeted attack.

In a statement released Tuesday, the IDF confirmed the operation was carried out in coordination with Israel’s internal security agency, Shin Bet (ISA). The announcement identified the primary objective as neutralizing senior Hamas leadership responsible for terrorist activities, including the October 7th massacre and orchestration of the ongoing conflict against Israel.

Prior to execution, precautions were taken to minimize civilian harm, such as deploying precision munitions and additional intelligence resources.

The government of Qatar has issued a statement strongly condemning the Israeli attack on residential buildings housing Hamas political bureau members in Doha. The government described the strike as a flagrant violation of international law, posing a significant risk to the security and safety of Qataris and residents in Qatar.
