South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace Announces Gubernatorial Bid for 2026, Shifts Stance Towards Trump, Advocates for Transgender Restroom Law
South Carolina’s Representative Nancy Mace has officially announced her candidacy for the state’s gubernatorial primary, slated for 2026. The announcement was made public through a video released on Monday, featuring an accompanying graphic declaring “Nancy Mace for Governor.”
In a bid to amplify her campaign, Mace also shared the graphic on various social media platforms.
Currently serving her third term in Congress, Mace has transitioned from being a critic of former President Donald Trump to a steadfast ally.
Last year, Mace initiated a resolution aimed at prohibiting transgender women from utilizing the women’s restrooms within the Capitol complex.
