South Park Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone Take Aim at Trump Administration, Kristi Noem, and Conservatives in New Episode

In a continuation of their critique against the current administration, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have unleashed another scathing episode of “South Park”. The latest installment, titled “Got A Nut”, targets key figures within President Donald Trump’s administration.

The school counselor character Mr. Mackay finds himself unemployed due to budget cuts in the Department of Education. He subsequently takes a job with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) where he, alongside fellow employees, watch a video featuring Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. In this video, Noem casually discusses her decision to euthanize one of her pets by shooting it in the face, drawing on an event that made headlines in 2024 when Noem wrote about it in her memoir.

Throughout the episode, Noem’s character can be seen putting down dogs as a recurring joke. The narrative also delves into conservative podcast culture with a fourth-grader named Clyde who gains notoriety as a white nationalist podcaster, sparking anger from Eric Cartman, known for his bigoted leanings on the show.

Cartman attempts to outdo Clyde’s offensive remarks about various minority groups, women, and Jewish people with his trolling tactics and by branding himself as a “master debater”. Clyde and Mr. Mackay’s work, which includes participating in ICE raids where Noem is heard shouting, “Only detain the brown ones!”, culminates in a trip to Mar-a-Lago where they are greeted by Trump and Vice President JD Vance, who are portrayed in white suits as homage to Ricardo Montalban and Herve Villechaize’s characters from the popular 1980s television series “Fantasy Island”.

Parker and Stone have consistently used their thought-provoking series to express their discontent with the current administration. In response to the debut episode that aired on July 23, which mercilessly mocked Trump, White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers downplayed its impact in a statement to CNN, stating, “This show has been irrelevant for over two decades and is barely surviving with outdated ideas in an attempt to gain attention. President Trump has achieved more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history – and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s success.”

Weeks prior to the new season premiere, Parker and Stone voiced their displeasure about Paramount Global’s planned acquisition by Skydance Media, expressing concerns over its potential impact on contract negotiations for “South Park”. The creators shared their sentiments via a social media post, stating, “This merger is chaotic and it’s disrupting ‘South Park’. We are at the studio working on new episodes and we hope the fans get to see them somehow.”

Paramount Global also faced criticism when CBS announced the cancellation of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, leading some to speculate that the decision was an attempt to appease Trump, thereby avoiding potential obstacles in the merger process. Colbert has been vocal about his criticisms of the President on his late-night show. Skydance Media and Paramount Global officially announced the completion of their merger on Thursday.
