Breaking News: Active Shooter Contained at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis – Governor Walz Provides Updates
A shooter has reportedly been contained following an incident at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, as confirmed by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. The governor stated that there is currently no active threat to the community.
In a post on their official platform, the city of Minneapolis declared the situation under control, stating that the shooter was contained. Earlier, Governor Walz reported being briefed about a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School and promised updates as more information became available. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the State Patrol are on-site, according to the governor’s statement.
Expressing concern for the affected students and teachers, Governor Walz shared that their first week of school was disrupted by this devastating act of violence.
FBI agents have also arrived at the scene, as per a post from Deputy Director Dan Bongino. A representative from Hennepin Healthcare, a level 1 trauma center, told CNN they are currently managing an emergency situation.
